Vinton is the first thing you reach in Louisiana, and it is where a lot of trucks find out something is wrong. Eastbound traffic comes off the Sabine River bridge and into the Louisiana port of entry, and a westbound truck that has been running all night from Lafayette is looking for its first stop in a hundred miles. Both produce the same call.
Being a Texas outfit that crosses the state line is not incidental here. Plenty of Texas shops stop at the river and plenty of Louisiana shops start at Lake Charles, which leaves the Vinton stretch covered by neither in practice. We run it, and we run Sulphur past it.
The corridor itself is straightforward interstate — wide shoulders by the standards of the rest of our coverage, decent lighting at the exits, and truck parking around the interchange. That makes it one of the easier places on our map to work a tire, which is worth knowing when you are deciding whether to limp to the next exit.

Vinton sits inside our regular coverage — Louisiana is a normal run for us, not a favour. These are the towns either side of it.
Yes. Vinton and Sulphur are part of our regular run, not a favour. Crossing the line is a normal day here.
About an hour on average across our coverage. That is an average and not a promise: what it means on the day depends on where the nearest truck is when you call, so dispatch will tell you what they can actually commit to before you decide to wait for us.
Usually. Tell dispatch exactly what was written up so we bring the right parts on the first trip rather than the second.
